The Theatre Organ World Celebrates The Life & Music Of Chris Gorsuch (1958-2012)

Chris Gorsuch, after courageously battling cancer, passed away peacefully in his sleep just before midnight on October 17th. During his career, Chris earned widespread admiration as a brilliant organist, arranger, and technician. In 2008, he received the prestigious honor of being the American Theatre Organ Society’s Organist of the Year.

For those who had the enormous privilege of knowing Chris, we will always remember his gregarious, fun-loving, outgoing nature and will deeply miss his friendship. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in San Diego, California to celebrate his life and music. As many are aware, Chris was instrumental in the installation and maintenance of the 4-manual 24-rank Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ at Trinity Church and was an active member of the Theatre Organ Society of San Diego.
