Jelani Eddington To Undertake Two-Week Concert And Recording Tour Of The United Kingdom.

RACINE, WISCONSIN. In March 2010, Jelani Eddington will undertake a two-week concert and recording tour in the United Kingdom. He will appear on March 20th as part of the 2010 “Theatre Organ Day” at the Brentford Musical Museum and will present a seminar, master class, and concert together with organists Simon Gledhill and Richard Hills.

During the week of March 21-26, Jelani will begin work on a new recording project at the newly renovated Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ at the Victoria Hall in Saltaire, England. Jelani helped re-dedicate this instrument in April 2009 after the instrument was moved from the New Ritz Ballroom in Brighouse, England, to its current location in Saltaire.

The recording, which is anticipated for release by June 2010, will be the first recording of the Wurlitzer in its new location as well as Jelani’s first recording of a theatre organ outside the United States.

Following the recording project, Jelani will appear in concert on March 28th at The Victoria Hall on the Wurlitzer organ.

Additional details are available from the Cinema Organ Society (Northern District).
