RJE PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES FEBRUARY 2006 RELEASE OF MOST COMPLETE
LEROY ANDERSON ANTHOLOGY EVER RECORDED

RENO, Nevada — RJE Productions is pleased to announce the February 2006 release of a special two-volume commemorative recording of the works of Leroy Anderson — one of America’s finest and most prolific composers.

These albums, titled A Leroy Anderson Centennial Celebration, will contain 50 compositions and more than 2 1/2 hours of the music of Leroy Anderson, including well known hits such as Blue Tango, Sleigh Ride, The Sycnopated Clock, and The Typewriter, as well as his major orchestral works such as The Irish Suite and his Piano Concerto in C. Not only will these albums be the first ever all-Leroy Anderson recordings for the theatre pipe organ, but with over 150 minutes of music these discs will be the most complete anthology of Anderson’s works ever recorded!

As an added bonus, and with the special permission and endorsement of Leroy Anderson’s family, these discs will contain two previously unpublished and never-before-heard compositions that Anderson wrote specifically for the organ — Easter Song and Cambridge Centennial March Of Industry.

Leroy Anderson was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in June 1908 and achieved world-wide acclaim during the 1950s and 1960s for his orchestral compositions. Many musicians consider him to be one of the most significant and influential composers of American orchestral music of all times. Leroy Anderson began his professional composing career in 1937 with Jazz Pizzicato, which he composed for Arthur Fiedler – conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra. Leroy Anderson went on to compose dozens more works, ranging from miniature orchestral sketches, to a full-blown piano concerto, and even the score for the Broadway Musical, Goldilocks. Anderson also completed a number of orchestral arrangements of traditional folk songs, including his well-known Irish Suite and Scottish Suite.

Virtually all of Leroy’s published compositions and arrangements will be released on this two-volume commemorative recording. The albums will contain the following works:
